Based on your quiz answers, it seems as though you’re in Patient Mode.

You rely heavily on the recommendations, experience, and expertise of your doctors and specialists– sometimes at the expense of your own intuition.

It makes sense to let these highly-trained professionals guide your journey, but it’s important to remember that you are ultimately steering the ship.

Here’s why you’re stuck in Patient Mode:

In your world, white coats mean right answers. For your whole life (and especially during your fertility journey), you’ve been told that doctors and experts know more about your body than you do. It’s not just you– many of us place blind faith and trust in doctors.

But fertility is about so much more than your body.

A 2021 meta-analysis of the effectiveness of mind-body programs for infertile women showed the value of the mind-body connection when trying to conceive.

Trying to conceive is stressful. It can weigh on your every thought, feeling, and action. Doing mind-body work is shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve quality of life, and thereby positively affect your odds of bringing home a baby.

When medical teams call all the shots, it is easy to lose this mind-body connection, an integral part of your journey.

As you prepare, care for, and treat your body during this journey, it is important to prepare, care for, and treat your mind for successful outcomes as well.

 Recommended next steps:

Consider giving your body and mindset equal weight. If your mental health or mindset is out of focus, your body can never clear stress.

To help you move out of patient mode, introduce a coach and/or fertility program to your protocol.
