Based on your quiz answers, it seems as though you’re in Research Mode.

You don’t always trust that your doctors are giving you all the answers, so you spend lots (or all) of your downtime reading, Googling, or listening to podcasts so you can be your own advocate.

Here’s why happens:

As a fertility patient, you might feel tension when you don’t get enough access to your doctors or specialists. There are all these people whose eyes are on your chart, yet you still feel like a number (and maybe an invoice).

It’s natural to feel anxious and out of control when it comes to your fertility journey. When you have more questions than answers, diving into your own research can give you a sense of control.

The trouble is that your research may lead you to doubt your protocols, overthink your decisions, and trigger your thoughts to spin in the wrong direction.

You might find yourself suddenly feeling responsible for your own fertility protocol and drumming up all kinds of uncertainty about what you might be missing.

 Recommended next steps:

Talk to people who get it. Most of what you can learn by reading, Googling, and listening to podcasts is going to be impersonal. Working with a fertility-focused mindset coach can help you set boundaries around your research so it remains productive.

Short of getting a medical degree, one of the most effective ways to come out of Research Mode is to connect. You need a dedicated community of other women who get exactly what you are going through. You need their stories, their validation, and their experience– and they need yours. No one understands this journey like someone who is in it– especially not Google.
